Shurjoint regional sales managers - multiple regions/USA

The Shurjoint regional sales managers will actively establish the strategic direction within the assigned region(s) and nationally by working as a team within this newly focused sales unit for Aalberts IPSA/Apollo Valves grooved product line. Gaining market share and creating brand identity and recognition will be key focuses of these roles. These positions will be supported by and will report directly to the vp of sales, Shurjoint USA. The RSMs will create annual strategic business plans, develop regional project tracking logs, and build strong relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and distributors. The essential role is to manage the business and execute a strategy for long term year over year growth.

essential duties and responsibilities: 

  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans for a clear strategy to execute in the markets of responsibility.
  • Pursue contractors, wholesalers, engineers, owners, and facility engineering with the intent to develop long-term relationships.
  • Attend industry meetings, events, and trade shows.
  • Present products to engineers, owners, and contractors via power point and through in-depth conversation.
  • Learn and/or further develop Shurjoint product knowledge as well as competitive products.
  • Have a pulse on the market and market trends and openly share the intel.
  • Regular use of CRM, currently Salesforce.com, to collect account/project information and update information to track projects, contractors, engineers and contacts.

qualifications and requirements:
 

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Effectively implement into daily activities as needed the use of the Microsoft suite of desktop products- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive etc.
  • Ability to execute a designed plan, complete tasks timely as part of that plan with an established history of follow up.
  • Persuasive communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to quickly adapt to situations and individuals.
  • Developed consultive approach to sales.
  • Highly motivated and resilient self-starter, with a hunter instinct.
  • Advanced organizational skills; with attention to detail.
  • Dedicated team player with willingness to support and seek support from others.
  • Capacity to manage large territories and multiple accounts varying in size.
  • Daily travel and overnights to manage the assigned geography which will include the ability to travel on little notice; percent of travel will be based on region being covered. 


 desired skills: 

  • Knowledge of valve and piping systems, product applications, specifications automation system, industrial manufacturing, mechanical/plumbing contractor and PVF distribution.
  • College degree in fields related to engineering, communications and/or sales; and/or related experience in business, marketing, or sales, which encompasses sales of valves or related construction industry products.
  • Understanding of grooved products and systems where they will be used.
  • Awareness of our sales channels – distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.
  • Familiarity with the technical and feature advantage of all Aalberts IPS products.
  • Possess knowledge of competitors’ products.
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary.
