The warehouse order picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity. The order picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

essential duties and responsibilities

  • Picks order by using an RF Handheld scanner or paper order. (Part number, location, quantity, special instructions, etc.)
  • Completes documents by entering in quantity picked and pallet number(s).
  • Uses forklift and/or other material handling equipment (such as pallet rider, order picker, forklift, etc.) to transport the order through the process.
  • Stacks the cartons of product on pallets and verifies accuracy of pallet container(s).
  • Uses stretch wrap machine and/or manual dispenser to wrap completed orders.
  • Meets minimum productivity and accuracy measurements.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Maintain the production pace of other team members.
  • Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Works in a safe and accident-free manner.
  • Actively participates in housekeeping to keep the work area clean and orderly.
  • Participates in LASCO Fittings, Inc. physical inventories.

qualifications/requirements

  • Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Maintain the production pace of other team members.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift experience preferred not required.
  • Must be certified or become certified in the operation of a forklift.
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. No extensive experience required.
