industrial engineering technician

The entry level industrial engineering technician must possess good communication, administrative, and basic industrial engineering skills. This role is largely self-managed and requires the ability to complete tasks in an efficient, accurate manner.

essential duties and responsibilities: 

  • Enter and modify new and existing bills of materials for valves and other flow control devices.
  • Create and modify shop floor routings.
  • Perform time study evaluations.
  • Assist with equipment evaluations and justifications.
  • Distribute engineering change notices to internal staff members.
  • Provide traceability and support with evidence related to insurance claims.
  • Manage drawing and technical files.
  • Create export and other shipping related certificates as needed.
  • Assist with engineering laboratory testing.
  • Order supplies, maintain office equipment, and distribute interoffice mail.

qualifications and requirements:

  • Two-year engineering technology degree, or applicable work experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office software including Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to understand valve types and determine tariff codes.
  • Ability to understand and learn the job-related aspects of JD Edwards enterprise resource planning software.
