The crew supervisor position will own the day-to-day activities in production, managing a team of technicians in a way that brings the best out of them, and constantly looking for ways to improve process and drive efficiencies. The crew Supervisor will also be responsible for the escalation of issues: machine, manpower, method, or materials, to the value stream manager.
essential duties and responsibilities:
Maintain production cards on each job and update when completed.
Responsible for checking company emails and responding accordingly.
Will review and order supplies when needed.
Will assist with supervising employees to make sure jobs are being worked on quickly and efficiently.
Work with production control and lead person to stay up to date on everything happening in the department.
Review and create planned workflows for each job and work through any bottlenecks that may come up when scheduling the jobs.
Assist with checking fittings for quality issues when needed to ensure the jobs are moving through the department as scheduled.
Assist with employee training to make ensure they understand the scope of the position and where to go if any issues arise.c
Work the assigned schedule by Crew:
A: 5am-6pm Mon-Wed B: 5pm-6am Mon-Thu
C: 5am-6pm Thu-Sat B: 5pm-6am Mon-Sun
qualifications and requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must develop strong knowledge of products being produced.
Must have basic mechanical skills.
General computer skills with ability to respond to company emails in a timely manner.
The ability to operate air tools and other equipment required by the department.
Must have the ability to operate a forklift.
Prior team lead or supervisor experience preferred.
Ability to use precision instruments and read blueprints.
Ability to communicate effectively between employees to plant management.
Ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a team lead or supervisor position within a manufacturing setting preferred.
High attention to detail and escalate errors to management when needed.
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Possess the ability to twist and bend frequently.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
