continuous improvement engineer

The site continuous improvement leader is responsible for the deployment of continuous improvement across the Aalberts IPS Conway site. The focus of tools, training, method, and process is intended to drive cultural change in the organization.

essential duties and responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating the build, test, and deployment processes of copper press manufacturing software and systems.
  • Responsible for assessing production processes and offering solutions to improve them through the use of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate automated testing frameworks and ensure code quality standards are met.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and reliability within the CI/CD pipelines, and implement optimizations to accelerate the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Monitor CI/CD pipeline performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement automated testing strategies and improve overall product quality.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in CI/CD, automation, and software development methodologies.

qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a CI/CD Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and code branching strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
